Energy Assessments
Energy Savings Plus offers two types of energy analyses for residences.
Walk Through Analysis - A walk through analysis presents a synopsis of your home by concentrating on the principal energy consumers in your home such as refrigerators, window air conditioners, water heaters, etc. as well as the energy wasters such as windows, doors, incandescent light bulbs, etc. This type of analysis is best suited for apartments, condos, and small all-electric homes on a slab foundation.
Comprehensive Analysis - A comprehensive analysis provided by a BPI Certified Analyst requires an in-depth inspection of your home. During the inspection the analyst will use sophisticated equipment to find energy consumers and wasters such as those listed above as well as determine if the amount of insulation and air sealing in your home is sufficient. This type of analysis is suited for all homes and includes an energy saving “gift box” (a $50 value) that contains various energy saving items (i.e. CFLs, pipe wrap, A/C covers, etc.)
